County Hire has been renting plant and tools to tradesmen, engineers
and DIY enthusiasts throughout Berkshire and North Hampshire since
1991.
Virtually any machinery under three tonnes and a myriad of tools,
safety equipment and supplies ensure the team at County Hire is
kept busy as a steady stream of customers seek out the Company at
its depot on Whitehouse Industrial Park, Silchester Road, Tadley.
From access equipment like towers, ladders and podiums through
to hydraulic power lifts; mini diggers that will fit through the
narrowest of garden gates, dumpers, breakers, compactor plates,
bench saws and sanders - if you need it, the chances are County
Hire has it and can deliver.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Angela Alexander said the vast range
of tools was backed up by a team who understood the equipment they
offered. She explained,
"We ensure that our team has a comprehensive knowledge of
all the equipment we hire and tools we sell. It helps our customers
find the right machine for the job, and we can offer operation
instructions if required. The friendly advice we offer our customers
means we have quite a following among DIY enthusiasts who sometimes
need guidance before getting to grips with a new machine".
Director Paul Errington founded the company and explained why hiring
is so popular:
"Much of the equipment we offer would represent a significant
outlay if people had to buy rather than hire, so there can be
real savings - especially if the equipment is only needed for
a short time or unique job. We offer hire periods as short as
four hours and have rates for a day, two days, a weekend, a week
or longer. They are tailored to suit the range of customers who
use us, and the jobs they undertake. "We also take care of the
maintenance and service which can be a very unwelcome task for
a tradesman at the end of a tiring week - or maybe doesn't get
done at all".
"By hiring from us, he can be sure it will have been thoroughly
inspected in our own workshops, and will be safe and ready to
work when he hires it."
County Hire has attained Safe-Hire status, which means that the
Company has been independently inspected to ensure the equipment
they rent out is safe, and that their staff are competent to advise
the hirer on the right safety equipment for the job. Further peace
of mind for customers is promised through their accreditation by
Hampshire Trading Standards, who have also scrutinised the company
before adding them to a list consumers can trust.
